2019 Miss Virginia USA & 2019 Miss Virginia USA Crowned

On Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the TCC Roper Performing Arts Center in Norfolk, VA, the finals competition was held for the 2019 MISS VIRGINIA USA and MISS VIRGINIA TEEN USA State Pageants.

Courtney Lynne Smits from Woodbridge, VA was crowned Miss Virginia USA 2019. She attends Marymount University. Courtney currently is a Psycological operations specialist in the Army Reserves.

"As Miss Virginia USA, my most important accomplishment would be to, not only work with the organizations that are affiliated with the Miss Universe Organization, but to also bring my platform of supporting wounded and homeless veterans to both the Miss USA and Miss Universe stage to increase global awareness of this issue."

She will be competing in the nationally televised MISS USA pageant.

Morgan Brooke Duty from Lebanon, Va. was crowned Miss Virginia Teen USA 2019. She is a Junior at Honaker High School where she has an advanced diploma and plays basketball.

'I truly want to change the way the foster care system works and I know with the title of Miss Virginia Teen USA, I can truly make a difference in educating people about the downfalls and pitfalls of the foster care system.'

After an impressive opening number that featured all 51 contestants, the competition was narrowed to the semi-finalists in both the MISS and TEEN divisions. After onstage questions were completed the winners were announced.

The top honors for MISS VIRGINIA USA 2019:

1st runner-up, Nadgeena Jerome from Fairfax, Va. She is a graduate of George Mason University

2nd runner-up, Susie Evans from Poquoson, Va. A graduate from Lindenwood University

3rd runner-up, Jade Esther Kenny from Arlington, Va. Jade is now a Washington Redskin cheerleader

4th runner-up, Mary Rachael McGeorge from Grundy, Va. She is in her first year at Appalachian School of Law

The top honors for MISS VIRGINIA TEEN USA 2019:

1st runner-up, Cameron Sue Clark from Virginia Beach, Va. She is a Freshman at First Colonial High School

2nd runner-up, Alyssa Lynn Mawyer from Rockingham, Va. She is a Sophomore at Broadway High School

3rd runner-up, Zoe Lowe from Max Meadow, Va. She is a attends Gracyn High School

4th runner-up, Gabriela Eunice Pena from Lynchburg, Va. She attends Liberty University

Miss Virginia USA 2019 Miss Photogenic: Jade Kenny from Arlington, VA

Miss Virginia USA 2019 Miss Congeniality: Kati Roberts, from Blacksburg, VA

Miss Virginia Teen USA 2019 Miss Photogenic: Cameron Clark from Virginia Beach, VA

Miss Virginia Teen USA 2019 Miss Congeniality: Madison Ramsey from Castlewood, VA

Peoples Choice Award- Jasmine Franklin of Falls Church, VA

Miss Virginia USA and Miss Virginia Teen USA 2019 won scholarships from Emory & Henry College, King University, the University of Virginia College at Wise, Hollins University and Liberty University.

In addition to the scholarship opportunities, a long list of prizes, and a trip to the nationally televised 2019 MISS USA Pageant, Miss Virginia USA 2019 will drive a new 2019 Mercedes-Benz throughout her year courtesy of Mercedes Benz of Kingsport, TN/ Rick Hill Imports.
